Chelsea Ann Gomes, LMBT, DONA

Studying Early Childhood Education was a gateway to working with babies and families, always knowing that I wanted to work within birth. I have been attending births and caring for birthing families since 2008. Offering compassionate care, I offer my services as a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula. My doula support is judgement-free and tailored to each unique birth and postpartum experience. Building connections and long lasting relationships with those I work with is a true reward. I take pride in assisting families to not just survive, but truly thrive.

Being highly sensitive to touch and intuitive with my hands, integrating body work was a natural evolution for my practice. As a licensed massage therapist, I offer movement as a meditation. Weaving a beautiful blend of modalities, my therapeutic touch incorporates shiatsu, deep tissue, trigger point, Thai, reflexology, cranio-sacral, sports massage, myofascial release, hot stone, Reiki, as well as aromatherapy. As a prenatal and perinatal massage therapist and Arvigo® practitioner, I work with womens’ transforming bodies. I can address specific conditions concerning reproductive and digestive health, as well as preparation and healing from birth. In 2020, I underwent my own initiation of birth, beginning my own journey as a mother and experiencing, first hand, the challenges and joys of pregnancy and motherhood.

Born and raised by the sea of the Pacific Coast, this ancient wisdom guides me forth. I began my healing path deeply rooted in the natural world. Having worked in the health and wellness field and being of support to families with an ever growing dedication to learning, I gathered a rich basket of resources to share. In the past 20 years, my studies have concentrated in Early Childhood Education, Western Herbalism, Yoga, massage, and birth support. It is in my nature to nurture and it is a deep love to support people’s wellbeing.

It was herbal medicine that brought me to the richly bio-diverse Appalachian Mountains in 2004. My education in herbalism spanned years of immersion, apprenticeships, and teaching. Wild harvesting, growing plants, making medicine, and working with people to optimize their health feeds my soul.

Whether it’s through bodywork, birth support or herbal medicine, I have many avenues to support you, your wellness and your growing family. I will meet you, wherever you are in your process. My practice is open to all types of families, gender identities, sexual orientation, religions and ethnicities. It is an honor to offer my work through Blossom N’ Roots.

Gandhi’s Prayer for Peace

I offer you peace
I offer you love
I offer you friendship
I see your beauty
I hear your need
I feel your feelings
My wisdom flows from the highest source
I salute that source in you
Let us work together
