Integrative Massage

Integrative therapeutic massage is tailored to meet clients individual needs. Meeting clients desired firmness of pressure while blending a delightful combination of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point, Thai, sports and cranial sacral therapy. Integrative massage treatments include essential oils, steamed towels, and hot stones.

Deep Tissue

Offers focused therapeutic deep work. Often Trigger point therapy and myofascial release is helpful to bring in the mix to assist the release of tight muscles.

Prenatal & Perinatal Massage

Treatments are tailored for mothers-to-be and new moms by tending to the bodies’ growing needs. The session allows the mama to connect, relax and receive a deep nurturing experience. Various cushions and pillows are used to support both mother and baby during these sessions. Positions such as prone, sideline and supported supine are used to address specific areas of need. I do what’s best support the beautiful changing body.

Pregnancy Cut Out Table
Enjoy your session being able to safely lay prone. The table is built with a belly cut out that supports all the stages of pregnancy. An adjustable abdominal sling supports the round ligaments in the pelvis to keep expecting clients and their growing bellies comfortable. The table includes breast cut outs that reduce pressure on sensitive breast tissue and is also supportive for those with larger breasts.

Pregnancy Wedges
Used to allow a woman to lay on her back at a 45-degree angle with her ankles and feet propped up.

Body Pillow
Used to support a woman in a side-lying position.

Birth Ball
A woman may sit on the exercise ball and lean against the massage table to receive a therapeutic back massage.

Prenatal massage is a wonderful and supportive way to help the body adjust to the changes and transformations of pregnancy, as well as prepare for labor. Inviting a time to slow down, receive, breath deep, and connect with one’s self and their growing baby. These all being helpful skills to carry into labor and parenthood.Therapeutic touch can improve sleep patterns, encourage greater relaxation, alleviate stress in mind and body, increase circulation and decrease inflammation. A graceful blend of swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, acupressure and reflexology techniques are used to meet the individual’s session needs.

Postpartum Massage

Postpartum massage is truly a gift to the one one who has been giving. Mama’s have been working hard adapting to life with a baby on the outside, muchless just having been through one of the most profound body experiences of a lifetime. This is a time of deep healing and transformation on many levels. Postpartum bodywork replenishes one’s well and promotes a balanced recovery after birth while relieving overworked muscles. After the baby is born, it is a sacred time of integrating many changes and it’s  important to be able to receive. Every mother deserves to be well nourished and a massage can do just that.

The session will address specific emotional and physical needs including:

  • Physical aches of recovering from birth and caring for an infant
  • Promoting healing on all levels
  • Grounding
  • Pelvic pain and organ reorganization
  • Cesarean scar recovery
  • Diastasis recti
  • Integration of one’s birth experience and their new identity
  • Lack of sleep
  • Hormone fluctuations
  • Wrist and forearm pain
  • Fluid retention
  • Milk supply issues

Labor Invitation Massage

Labor unfolds in its own perfect timing and shouldn’t be rushed. However, it is common that clients can receive some pressure to birth by a certain date. The invitation is a gentle nudge that uses a combination of massage, cupping, acupressure points & aromatherapy while working with attention and intention to invite momentum towards labor. The combination of techniques supports energy moving strongly downwards in the body and allows relaxation that encourages softening and opening and helps babies become engaged in the pelvis. This massage is a natural, non-invasive, and relaxing means of promoting spontaneous labor. It cannot force your body to do something it is not ready to do on its own. It is a way to help your body and baby welcome the labor process.

In-home Postpartum Massage

In home postpartum sessions are one of my favorite services to offer! Some families purchase a package of multiple sessions, so that the whole family can get treated including partners and babies. Offering this service to support the natural need of the postpartum family to nest and nurture themselves during this time of great change and sleep deprivation can be a tremendous gift. Basic breastfeeding information and support can be shared during these sessions, if there is a need.
